New at Legends Golf Courses:New Tournaments and Outings Division
Legends is pleased to announce the arrival of Frank Monk as the Tournament and Sales Director. Frank has been involved in many aspects of golf in the Myrtle Beach areas for the past 20+ years; most notably as the Head Professional at Myrtlewood and Director of Golf at Belle Terre. With the increase in the local golf population over the past few years, management at the Legends has realized the importance of catering to that segment of the market. Monk will be focusing on charities, civic organizations, churches and schools; as well as corporate outings, or any other local groups that are interested in playing. On the Air:Legends Golf will be hosting The Rude Awakening morning show which airs on 680AM The Fan out of Atlanta, Georgia. The show is hosted by Christopher Rude, Perry Laurentino, and Leo Mazzone. In the Clubhouse:We recently held a contest to rename the pub at The Legends Clubhouse. Participation was fierce which made the decision process difficult. When all the entries were reviewed, the new name of the pub was announced as "Highlanders Double Eagle Tavern". The name is a combination of several entries submitted. We would like to congratulate Barry and Mary DeHaven, Bob and Pat McNeill, Paul and Julia McRoberts, and Bob and Andrea Martin who contributed to the winning name combination. The pub is due to roll out a new menu in mid 2010; so check it out the next time you're at the Legends Clubhouse!
